My Story

LaVerne Farmer, author of “I am not a Desperate Housewife”, wife, mother, author, teacher, preacher, Detroit Police Department Chaplain, local community board member and commissioner and founder of Motherhood Evangelisms, Inc.,  has for over the past 40 years, teaching and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the inerrant Word of God to children, teens, women and men,  in the home, local church, community and regional correctional facilities.

Being raised in the church since the 60s, like so many believers, LaVerne Farmer experienced the discontentment of the ebb and flow of church, personal and spiritual growth. Her goal is to write, teach, preach and demystify through personal transparency, best practices and strategies found in the Word of God and reach out to generations of wayward, lost and stagnant believers and not only win them back to Christ, but also equip them with the skillsets to stay, win others and have “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven” experiences!

And all those other wonderful hormones that are naturally created when we things make you feel good! You saved money! Yay! You exercised! Yay! You checked off a box on your to-do-list! Yay!
